Based in London, Lucinda Coldrey is a portrait and wildlife artist. Her current project focuses on african wildlife. Having visited Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Morocco she was inspired by the beauty around her.

Having completed two foundations in History of Art at UCL and Sailsbury College, she embarked on a journey of discovery in Florence and found classical realism. 

Focussing on the naturalistic tradition of drawing and painting. She learned that to capture an image is simply the start of the process of creation and that design, mood and emotion attain greater significance as the project evolves.

"There are so many things to think about when trying to capture a person or animal on canvas: the aim is to try and maintain a balance in composition, while attempting to capture the essence of the sitter or the landscape before you."
